One Year In SF

Posted on by Brian Hertzog

Today (June 6, 2013) is my one year anniversary living in San Francisco.  I can honestly say this has been one of the fastest years of my life.  I moved to a new city, found a home, started an internship, made new friends, ended the internship, began a new job, moved again, made more friends--it's been a whirlwind.

One year ago today, I remember laying awake in my hotel room dreaming about my future.  It was scary, humbling, and beautiful.  Like the feeling of riding a roller coaster as it slowly creeps to the top of the ride, my life was one little ball of potential, waiting for it's moment.

I wouldn't still be here of course without the support of my family, the help of my friends, and the belief and trust of several individuals.  There are many forces at play, many factors bridging one thing to another.  Truth is, we are all connected in this way.

What a year SF!  Thank you for the new friends, memories, places, long walks, stunning views, and the sunny weather.  Here's to the future--to the dreams we have, the life we have yet to live, the uncertainty, the art we make, and the people we inspire.  It's been a privilege SF.  I wouldn't have it any other way.
