Thoughts On Health
Today I went home sick. It was almost lunch time, but my body decided to call it a day. Nothing serious, probably just another cold. But if you've ever taken a sick day, you know what it's like to sit at home with the house quiet, while you alternate between eating, napping, going to the bathroom, and checking emails. It's not much fun.
All that said, I wanted to write this to remind myself in the future of the importance of health. Without your health, it doesn't matter how many friends you have, how much money you make, or where you live. You're the same as the next guy if you're not alive.
What people are willing to sacrifice to "get ahead" is amazing. But trading health is never a fair deal. Staying healthy allows us to do the things we love. Our health is the energy that fuels our lives. It's a finite resource.
