Asking Why

We've all seen that child incessantly asking his mom "Whyyyyyy?" If they get an answer, it's usually followed with another "But whyyyyy?"

Why is something I try to remember to ask myself every day. There’s a reason children ask "why" so often. It’s a fundamental question for survival, growth, and learning. Understanding our environment, how the world works, etc. enables us to optimize our behavior. The more we comprehend, the more equipped we are to handle life's challenges.

"Why?" might be a child's question, but it’s also the tool of the wise. Only when we seek explanations are we able to become masters of our environment. Ask yourself why. The question is simple, but the answers can be complex. Be brave, ask why, knowledge is freedom. Liberate your mind.
