The Best You Can Be

Posted on by Brian Hertzog

Every once-in-a-while, I see a startup company trying to emulate another. They say things like, "We'll be like Company X, but better". Yet, I feel that in business, it's also important to own your own style. Differentiation is a key factor for success, still many companies try to carbon copy the style of others. When this happens, I'm reminded of an amazing scene in "Cool Runnings" when Sanka tells Derice the best he can be is Jamaican.

he best your company can be is not Facebook, or Twitter, it is your company. You have your own style. Why not embrace it?
