It has been a difficult week to read headlines. Sadness fills our hearts from violence and destruction. We are left wondering why? From anger to confusion to disbelief, these have all been my emotions this week as I become aware of one sad story after another.
I am reminded how lucky I am. I want to call my family and tell them I love them. Life is so fragile. It is a precious gift we are all given.
It's easy to feel angry. But anger will not fight evil in this world. It is through kindness, compassion, and our own light, that we will defeat darkness.
Hug someone you love. Tell someone how you feel. It takes bravery and conviction follow your heart. It takes courage to share your work with the world.
Be the light that fights darkness. Be the love that heals violence and destruction. This week we feel sadness. We feel confused. We feel violated. But let us also feel love. Let us be thankful to lay our heads on our pillows. Let us hug our brothers and sisters, our mothers and fathers, our sons and daughters a little tighter. Be kind. Be brave. Let us keep hope. Let us share our love. And let us share our light with the world.
I love you Mom, Dad, and Jake.
