Life Skill: Articulate
Articulating your thoughts is one of the most important skills you'll ever learn in life. Anybody can take a random position on something. But very few people can actually defend that position with sound logic and rationality. When your mind articulates an idea, you're actually engaged in curating massive amounts of information, until the only thoughts that are left are the essence, the "good stuff".
Leonardo DaVinci said, "Simplicity is the ultimate form of sophistication". When you possess the gift to explain complicated things to others, you provide a window to your mind. When you practice articulating your positions on something, your force yourself to become a better curator, thus improving your taste. Over time, when you've established credit as someone with good taste, people start to trust you.
Practice articulating your thoughts. Stand behind a thought or idea, and be able to explain why you believe that thing. Give us the "good stuff", the essence of your logic. In return, over time you'll gain our unwavering loyalty. People will stand by your future statements because they trust your logic. You now have credit because you took the time to give us value. There's no need to explain further because you gave us just enough. The best part is that the more you practice the art of articulation, the more you'll hone your newfound skill. Give your thoughts the gift of clarity and purpose, set them free, let them spread their wings and fly.
