Tap Dancing To Work
Warren Buffett is 83 years old. He's worth approximately $60B. Yet, every day he puts on his shirt and tie and goes to his relatively humble office in downtown Omaha. Why doesn't he retire? He loves what he does. Buffett likes to tell the media he feels like he "tap dances" to work.
Money doesn't fuel guys like Buffett or Jiro Ono. If money were the only goal, I think they'd have quit long ago. The Japanese word, "Shokunin" translates to "the spirit of a true artisan". Tap dancing to work is about falling in love with your craft. Each day you look forward to improving your technique. Buffett's craft just so happens to compensate generously.
Happy dancing.
