The Cognitive Revolution
During the 16th and 17th centuries, the Agricultural Revolution allowed for radical change in civilization, with larger populations becoming increasingly sustainable thanks to the abundance and assurance of food. Then came the Industrial Revolution, manufacturing, engines, and much of our modern infrastructure.
Today, we're in the midst of a "Cognitive Revolution". Computing has changed the way humans organize information (with Google at the helm). Knowledge is no longer held captive by the elite. Information is more democratized now than any other period in history. What's next?
