This Is Urgent
Urgency is power. It's amazing that no matter how busy we think we are, when something "urgent" arises, we can drop everything. It's like our bodies have internal to-do lists and suddenly something way at the bottom or maybe not even originally on the list rockets to the top. Then we get that thing done as soon as possible, because well, it's urgent.
What if instead of entering a state of urgency out of necessity, we actively lived with urgent intent? For example, if motorcycling across America is something I want to do, why not do it right now? You probably can do more things you want to do if you treat them as such.
The temptation is to resist. "I can't do that now," you'll say. Then a month goes by. "Not yet." See where this is going? If you don't make it urgent, you might never get around to doing that thing. Days, weeks, months, go by. You have the time, you just haven't prioritized.
If you want to do something, make a ruckus, start a movement, change the word--the time is now. Don't wait, this is urgent.
